Job Summary:
Parts Receiving Clerk will join a fast-paced store, supporting an internal workshop team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and managing incoming parts, ensuring efficient stock control and accurate record-keeping. Additionally, this role will assist with procurement overflow, including sourcing and following up on outstanding parts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming parts and supplies against orders and invoices.
- Accurately record stock into inventory management systems and update records accordingly.
- Assist with organizing and storing parts efficiently to ensure quick retrieval for workshop requirements.
- Assist in procurement tasks, including identifying of suppliers, sourcing parts and following up on outstanding orders when required.
- Liaise with suppliers to confirm deliveries, backorders and delays.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized store area.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and safety regulations.
- Assist in stock counts, audits and reconciliation.
- Collaborate with the buyer and workshop team to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
- Physically fit and healthy (able to lift, move and carry parts and boxes)
- Must have completed matric with and have a valid driver’s license
- Valid drivers license
- Forklift license (advantageous)
- Atleast 3 years experience in a stock receiving role, and atleast 2 years’ experience in a procurement assistant role.
- Self-motivated, proactive and able to work under pressure in a busy environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Highly organized with excellent time management.
- Intermediate computer literacy (inventory systems, email, spreadsheets).
- Good communication skills for supplier follow-ups and team coordination.
- Willing to work after hours and atleast 3 Saturdays per month.
